Driving to work today I noticed a parent following a school bus, a young boy clinging to his father at the bus stop, roads blocked and other reminders of Friday's tragedy and I am searching for gratitude and here is where I find it.........

Today I am grateful for:

First Responders.
Teachers.
Principals.
Vice Principals.
School Psychologists.
Caregivers.
Mental Health Professionals.
People who help others through the grieving process.
Those who have and will come together to create policies and procedures to keep others safe.
The people who are reassuring children everyday that you are safe and I will do whatever it takes to protect you.
Staff that does not retreat, but goes back to work stronger and more vigilant.

PA Things to be happy/grateful for: Meeting new people: we moved to a new City/State about a year ago and it has been a challenge to meet new people, but we are very grateful for the new friends we have made. Fresh clams: currently working on perfecting my Clams Casino recipe. Discovering new cheeses: this week we tried Bacon Horseradish..Yum! Container Gardens: there's nothing like having fresh oregano and basil around. Low tide and sandbars: my favorite time to be at any body of water. Riding Bikes: checked out the path along the Delaware Canal.
